India set to face Tokelau this May

The India Jungle Cats have named a preliminary train-on squad for their upcoming International match against Tokelau.

The match, which will be India’s second against another Rugby League nation, will take place atย Massey Park in Auckland on May 30, with the first Indian Jungle Cats Under 18’s squad to play as curtain raiser.

The Indian Jungle Cats have played two previous Rugby League match, defeating a Colombian Representative team 30 – 16 in Brisbane last July, before overcoming a Latin Heat Representative team 30 – 24 in Blacktown in October.

Tokelau’s took part in the Rugby League Nines event at the Pacific Games in Apia last year, facing Fiji, Solomon Islands and the Cook Islands in the tournament.ย  Tokelau’s last full representative fixture was in 2006 with the Island nation playing against Samoan and Tongan representative sides that year.
